I made a copy of one of my movies and it's in .bin format on my harddrive. How would I go about making a cue sheet for it so it can be viewed on a dvd player? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have Discjuggler handy (or you can stand burning once at the lowest possible speed, as the juggler demo limitation is) just load the .bin to Juggler and most likely you will get a good burn.
Else, you could load the .bin to ISOBuster, which will dtect all existing sessions/tracks and the MODE of each track. Of course after having all that info you should write the .cue file yourself, which is neither too easy nor too laborous...

correct me if im wrong or not !? but BURN at ONCE will accept a BIN file with NO cue sheet :)

and so will many other burning programs such as alcohol and cdmate :)

oohhhh, hehe, okay. thanks. I'll look for those programs. but will it play in a dvd player since i only have the .bin and no cue sheet? i know what you might be thinking.. ENOUGH WITH THE NEWB QUESTIONS!!! hehe.

Nope Tw3NTy0n3 :) .. we answer the same or similar questions prolly dozens of times weekly ....but ..... for every new answer/ similar answer.. there will be a few more people that learn something new or aquire new knowledge from those posts :)

So it makes it worthwhile in the end :)

Also as time progresses NEW software will come out that does the same job but different so EVEN WE have to adapt and re-learn too :)

Cool. I'm the type of person that tries things out and learns by hands on experience. It turns out that the .bin file had a .avi file and after I burned it, the dvd player wouldn't read it. I have to convert it to mpeg1 or mpeg2 or another type before I burn it. I tried different programs like tmpgenc and winmpg but it always crashes at some point. Is there any way that I can burn a .bin that has a .avi in it so a dvd player could read it? I looked around the forum before posting this post and found nothing.

Shewt, I didn't see scarecrow's post, I'll try that. Thanks.

Yeah, I tried that tutorial but the program didn't work for me. Some options would work and others would give me an error and would close.

Anyone know if there's any way to burn a .avi so that a dvd player could read it. I've put the .avi into a .iso and .bin but don't know how to burn it in a way that a dvd player would be able to read.

Thanks guys, there's no way I can burn it for a dvd player without 'encoding' it or 'converting' it and everytime I've tried I've had problems. I'll keep trying different programs till then. Thanks for your help. :)

Hehe, I converted the avi to svcd successfully with Aare avi to vcd/svcd/dvd Converter 3.0, but it doesn't have sound, I already got the cue sheet thing down, I don't need one because I'm burning it with Nero. My only problem now is finding a merger that can merge the sound from the avi to the mpg I made. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help guys.

Hahaha, ipdave.

you can use the tutorials found in the divx/avi to svcd to add the sound from the avi to the mpeg using tmpgenc :)

it also tells you how to strip the sound from the avi too :)

You can't merge the sound from the AVI as it is probably mp3 and you need mp2 or mp1.

What you could do is convert the audio from the avi with say besweet and then use something like TMPGEnc or bbmpeg to multiplex the audio and video.
